Insurance Core Platform Centralisation
Requirements, test strategy, and UAT for the centralisation of enterprise insurance systems at a global insurer — currently in delivery and UAT.
- Role
- Analyst & software QA
- Timeline
- 2023 – present
Context
A global insurance provider needed to consolidate fragmented policy systems into a centralised platform, with strict accuracy requirements on policy data moving between systems and no tolerance for regression in a regulated domain.
Approach
- Led requirements gathering, gap analysis, and stakeholder alignment across business and IT.
- Designed and executed functional, integration, and regression test suites, validating API and web-service behaviour.
- Coordinated UAT planning, managed test cycles, and maintained requirements traceability to support go/no-go decisions.
- Participated in architecture and specification reviews, surfacing risks and inconsistencies before build.
Outcome
- Accurate policy data transfer validated across integrated systems.
- Reduced issue leakage into production through release and deployment support.
- Traceable evidence chain from requirement to test result — the auditability a regulated domain demands.
